Arsenal have joined Premier League rivals Tottenham, Liverpool and Crystal Palace in expressing interest in Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko, according to reports.

The 26-year-old is the subject of substantial interest this summer after impressing for France at Euro 2016 as the host nation reached the final.

The Magpies are said to acknowledge that the player will leave due to Newcastle’s Championship status, although Rafa Benitez insists he hopes to keep hold of Sissoko.

The energetic midfielder is believed to favour a move to a top-flight club and talkSPORT say Arsenal are interested in a move.

It is claimed the Gunners face severe competition if they are to sign the Frenchman, however, as Liverpool, Tottenham and Palace are also named as admirers.

Newcastle’s valuation for the player may provide a stumbling block to all parties as the club hope to attract a bid of around £35m.

Sissoko, who has also gained interest from Borussia Dortmund, has made over 100 league appearances for Newcastle since signing from Toulouse in January 2013.
