Wales’ remarkable journey at Euro 2016 came to an end last night as they were beaten 2-0 in the semi-final by Portugal.
Chris Coleman’s side finished top of Group B – one point above England – before beating Northern Ireland and Belgium to set-up a last four clash against Portugal.
But their hopes of reaching an unlikely final were dashed within three minutes in the second-half.
Cristiano Ronaldo gave Portugal the lead with an emphatic header and soon after the Real Madrid star’s miscued shot was turned home by Nani.
Crystal Palace had three players representing Wales in Lyon, with first-choice goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey and midfielder Joe Ledley starting the fixture.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Jonny Williams, who signed for the Eagles in 2011, came on as a second-half substitute.
Here’s how two of the Palace players reacted to the Euro 2016 exit:
Ledley, who suffered a leg fracture in May, thanked the medical staff for allowing him to feature in France.
First of all I'd like to thank @seanconnelly260 @sportsdrzaf for making me get fit then Chris Coleman in picking me and believing in me.

The 29-year-old also thanked the “unbelievable” Wales fans for their support throughout the tournament and said this was the “beginning” for Welsh football.
You fans have been a credit to the nation unbelievable through out the euros well done. Without you not sure this would happen.

What me and my team has done is incredible will go done in history I'm sure but trust me this is only the beginning. I love my nation....

Hennessey, 29, insisted he was proud of his teammates after their remarkable feats in France.
Proud of every player and member of staff at fawales but all the welsh fans have been… https://t.co/Z6HNk4DveY
