Crystal Palace transfer target Khouma Babacar is the subject of another approach by Sunderland, reports say.
The 22-year-old striker has attracted the attention of several Premier League clubs this January, with the Black Cats launching a bid for his services last week.
Sunderland’s offer was reportedly accepted by Fiorentina but Babacar opted against joining the league strugglers, instead hoping to hold out for a bigger club.
However, Sam Allardyce has not been deterred by the forward’s reluctance and Tuttomercatoweb report that the club have made another £11.4m bid.
Sunderland, currently second-bottom in the league – four points adrift of safety – understand they require attacking reinforcements if they are to instigate an escape this season.
But with Crystal Palace, goalless in five straight games, also said to be interested in a move for the Senegalese star a transfer battle could be set to unfold.
