Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is considering a move for Wolves striker Benik Afobe, according to the Dail Mail.

Despite a strong start to the season which has seen the Eagles soar to 7th in the Premier League, Pardew has been concerned by Palace’s lack of firepower in front of goal.

The club have only scored 23 goals in 20 games and have failed to find the net in 270 minutes of football.

Charlie Austin has been strongly linked with a move as Pardew looks to improve Palace’s threat up front, but the Daily Mail say that former England U19 forward Afobe is also a target.

Afobe has been in fine form this season with nine Championship goals to his name and could be on his way to Selhurst Park with Pardew desperate for attacking reinforcements.
