Cardiff City attempted to complete a deal for Crystal Palace striker Frazier Campbell in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
The 28-year-old spent 18 months in the Welsh capital, scoring 13 league goals in 48 games.
Campbell left Cardiff for Palace last summer in a deal believed to be worth £900,000.

However, the former England international has failed to become a regular at Selhurst Park and his former club tried to initiate a move to bring him back to Cardiff on a season-long loan, WalesOnline report.
Any deal between the two clubs was rebuffed as Campbell was allegedly not keen on a move back to the Championship, even though manager Russell Slade was said to be willing to offer the forward a prominent spot in Cardiff’s ranks.
Campbell has scored four goals in 24 Premier League appearances for the Eagles.
