Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha was forced to adjust his natural game under former Manchester United boss David Moyes.

Zaha endured a dismal time at Old Trafford after joining the Premier League giants in 2013.

The winger made just two league appearances in two seasons at the club before returning to Selhurt Park, where he has begun to recapture the form which led to international recognition in 2012.

Zaha has revealed that former Red Devils’ manager David Moyes, who was last week sacked from his position at Real Sociedad, adjusted his style of football while the pair were at United.

“Under David Moyes I had to adjust my game because certain managers want trustworthy players, someone who will keep the ball more,” the Palace star said on Soccer AM.

“He’s the only one that told me to stop some of the tricks and keep the ball in certain areas so I tried to adjust my game then.”
