Scott Dann conceded Crystal Palace had enough chances to beat Manchester United after the goalless draw at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
The visitors dominated possession for large periods of the game, however, the Eagles limited them to just one shot on target, while Palace had five attempts on goal.
And Dann was the first to admit that with the number of chances they had, Palace should have come away with all three points.
“They never really created any chances and we had quite a few, and probably should have put one in the back of the net, myself included,” the 28-year-old said.
“After the last two performances, it’s nice to get a clean sheet and a point.
“But when you look back on the game and the chances we had we probably should have won.”
Palace’s frontline have struggled in front of goal this season, but Dann was quick to highlight a lack of available personnel.
He said: “We’re missing options. We’ve had quite a few injuries, all at the top of the pitch.

“We’re looking to get Connor Wickham and [Marouane] Chamakh back fit, then we’ll have a couple of different options up there.”
The defender also said that the goalscoring responsibility must be shared across the team.
“I thought Dwight [Gayle] did well today and he had a couple of half chances, on another day he might have put one in,” said Dann.
“You just have to adapt and unfortunately we haven’t put the ball in the back of the net.
“We had enough chances to win the game, so if it’s not the strikers getting the chances and it is us, we’ve got to put the ball in the back of the net as well.”
Dann posed a threat from set pieces throughout the game and had two chances to score, admitting he should have put at least one of them away.
“I should have done better with the one in the second half,” he added.
“I tried to guide it into the far corner and probably got a bit too much on it, on another day it probably goes in.”

However, the Eagles defender felt it was a good performance overall, and believes the team can now carry momentum into their game against Liverpool next Sunday.
“It was pleasing the way we played on the back of three successive defeats,” he said.
“We’ll go into the Liverpool game next week full of confidence.”
