ALEX Warsop ran in three tries as Beccehamians ran out 34-24 winners over second-placed Sittingbourne in a great display of running rugby at The Den.
Beccehamians and Sittingbourne were keen to run the ball at every opportunity, ending in great tries by both teams.
A very closely fought contest played in a great spirit, there was never more than a score in it until the Beccehamians’ number 10 broke away with 10 minutes left to put the game out of the reach of a well-organised visiting team.
Nick Avery showed a real turn of speed and was twice hauled down metres from the line by some last-ditch tackles from the Sittingbourne full back, ensuring Beccehamians did not secure their third four-try bonus point of the season.
