TSUKURU judo academy in Orpington enjoyed success in two separate competitions on Sunday.

At the Dartford orange belt and below competition, Grace Griffith secured a gold in the girls’ -36kg category.

The 10-year-old has now won five golds and a silver in 2012 and a bright future awaits the youngster.

Jayden Seal, aged nine took bronze in the boys’ -38kg event, while Sean O’Connell and Ben Keyes fought with determination and just missed out on the medals.

Elsewhere, Tsukuru judo academy had an outstanding day at the Salisbury open in Wiltshire.

Harry Lougheed, 13, took silver in the boys’ -38kg, while 16-year-old Lucy Brandon went one better with gold in the ladies’ -70kg contest.

In the masters section, Tsukuru coach Andrew Bowden won gold in the -90kg and Roger Griffith claimed silver in the -81kg.
