A MIXED Martial Arts fighter from Erith made a stunning winning debut in his first ever professional fight at the Troxy Arena last Saturday.

Scott Saward, 19, took on Mathew Manners in a heavyweight bout and took just eight seconds to demolish his opponent with heavy strikes.

Saward, who stands at 6ft7in and weighed in at 130kg, is no stranger to wrapping up rapid victories as his last three fights have lasted 38 seconds overall.

The highly-rated fight ace trains at Gordon’s Gym in Plumstead and his coach Ian Andrews believes he will be offered a UFC contract in the future.

Andrews said: “We are currently in talk with promoters to set up Scott’s next professional fight and we hope to get him on the show for next month on May 26.”
