BEXLEY District girls’ U15s indoor cricket team ended the winter season in style with a comfortable 115-run win over newly-formed Streatham & Marlborough CC.

Following this match there was an under 12s ‘in-house’ pairs game involving youngsters from Bexley CC, Sidcup CC and various schools in the borough.

The indoor winter season has been busy for the girls, with 40 matches played in various forms involving teams representing the District, Bexley CC, Sidcup CC and three different schools. There is talk of an indoor league involving teams from the surrounding boroughs next winter and this would be a big step forward in developing girls cricket in the area.

The outdoor season will soon be upon us with Bexley CC and Sidcup CC preparing for various U11, U13 and U15 competitions.
