SHOOTERS Hill were well beaten by Vigo on Saturday.
After a two-week lay off caused by the winter weather, Saturday's wet and windy conditions were expected to help Shoots’ strong scrimmaging.
But instead they slipped to fifth place in Kent One against a powerful Vigo XV.
Shoots gained early territorial advantage with some good line kicks from Edmar Vinluan and Pat Beale scoring from a push over.
Vigo kicked well, made good use of their possession and their strong runners stormed through Shoots' defence.
Next week Shoots hope for a win against Old Gravesendians, who are one place below them.
