SKIERS with a learning disability from the Bromley-based special Olympics GB south east skiing squad enjoyed success at the special Olympics GB national alpine championships in Italy.
The team came home with eight gold, four silver and five bronze medals.
Jane Andrews, from Southborough, and Biggin Hill’s Wayne McCarthy were the stars, winning a trio of golds apiece and remaining undefeated in the three competitions in which they took part.
Hannah Dempsey and Ayesha Franks also struck gold and three others won two medals each - Corinna Beckett, Mark Cullen and Andrew Martineau, also from Biggin Hill.
Lissadell Lynch also came away with a medal.
