BLACKHEATH and Bromley's (B&B) junior women travel to Moscow tonight to represent Great Britain in the A-final of the European Junior Champion Clubs Cup.

They will meet the champion teams of Russia, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Turkey and Estonia.

Last year Britain's representatives Woodford Green with Essex Ladies finished in sixth place to just avoid being relegated to the B-final.

B&B will be hoping to improve on this performance.

Meanwhile Dwayne Grant travels to Athens along with fellow internationals Marlon Devonish, Mark Lewis-Francis and Dwayne Chambers to represent Europe in the 4x100m at the IAAF World Cup in Athletics.

The Europe team face Africa, America, Oceania, Asia, USA, France, Russia and hosts Greece.

Montell Douglas has been rounding off her summer season with some successful outings on the European circuit.

On September 1 the B&B athlete was in Germany at the Stadionfest Konigs where she won the 100m in 11.64secs.

It was then on to the Netherlands for the Arene Games where, despite a strong headwind, she timed 11.72secs to win the 100m.

Also in action abroad has been Chelsea O'Rawe Hobbs.

She was selected to represent Great Britain in an international walks competition in Germany.

She finished in 12th place in 26mins 38secs and, although not a personal best, the experience has seen her return with renewed enthusiasm for her event.

Shaunagh Brown was in outstanding form at the UK School Games in Glasgow.

She won the under-17 discus by nearly six metres with 45.75s.

There was a medal too for Rachel Arnheim as she finished third in the pole vault with 3.36m.

Richard Al-Ameen was fourth in the hammer with 53.97m and James Alaka won the guest 100m in 11.13secs before helping the south-east team to victory in the 4x100 in a time of 42.48secs.
