FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD Taylor Monk rounded off a great season by adding the Blackheath & Greenwich Men's singles Championship to the county fours title after a thrilling 21-19 victory over Kevin Bodman, 18.

After 30 ends the result was decided when Monk, lying game down, took both of Bondman's bowls out to score one shot for victory.

Doris Cave won the ladies singles title beating Isobel Le Masurier 23-16.

Cave led 7-0 but Masurier levelled the score at 9-9 on the 13th end.

Cave went back into the led 14-10 and steadily opened a wining margin.

In the other finals Ted Wyeth beat Chris Perkins 21-18 in the senior singles, Ted Allen defeated Paul Hayler 21-19 in the handicap singles and Ken Cave won the open singles over Steve Hills by two sets to nil.

In their earlier match Bodman beat Monk in the unbadged singles 21-13.

In the mixed pairs, Trish Mistretta and Bob Payne beat Nino Mistretta and Deirdre Williams.

In their last Shepherd Neame league match B&G recorded a fine 6-1 points win away to Met Police which should see them remain in the top four.
