With one week to go in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance, Brockleians Choppers have joined Fox under the Hill and Rileys Rovers in being relegated from the Elite League while at the other end of the table any of the top four teams can still win the title.

Choppers went down 3-0 in sets and 9-6 in frames to top of the table Rileys Woolwich despite the exploits of Rod Altes who won all three of his frames including two break and dishes.

Second placed Pickwick went to O’Connors in fourth and a typically tight game ensued.

The away side went 2-0 up in each of the three sets and went onto secure the winning frame in two of those to win the game 2-1 and 8-7.

Both Captains Jordan O’Connor and Paul Slater lead from the front by winning all three of their frames.

Despite their win Pickwick still drop to third as Brockleians leapfrog them into second after a comprehensive win against Fox under the Hill.

Richard Merricks was the only one to turn up for the Fox as he beat Danny Kelleher twice to win both their frames in the 3-0 13-2 loss.

Royal Oak secured another season in the Elite League after a 3-0 11-4 win over Rileys Rovers.

Mark Hill must love the pressure as he won the set deciding frame in each set to take his tally to three for the night as did Phil Tworek who included a 7-baller in his haul.

Last week Rileys A took the SLKPA Tier Two West title and this week Rack Pack secured second place and the playoff spot with a 3-0 12-3 win over Kings Arms.

Nick Gillet and Tony Gear each won both of their frames but Sean O’Connor went one better winning all three of his.

Rileys A were not taking it easy as they fielded their strongest side against Beech Tree Nuthouse, who are one of only two teams to take a set from the division champions.

Their strength showed as Adam Coppen, Naf Ayieko and the still unbeaten over the season Rob Chalmers all won three out of three in their 3-0 12-3 victory.

The Nuthouse winners on the night were London County junior Shane O’Reilly with two frames and Julie Lancaster with the other.

At the top of Tier Two East Erith Snooker Master 8’ers are doing their best to throw the league away as they won 2-1 in sets but shared the points losing in frames 8-7 to Leather Bottle.

Alan’s Enever and Rothwell were on form again for Leather Bottle, winning three out of three with the latter producing a 7-baller.

This win lifts the Bottle into fourth place.

White Hart kept the championship alive winning 3-0 and 9-6 against Our Lady of the Rosary to go four points behind the Master 8’ers.

Scott Shephard won his three frames but Ernie Wellhausen topped that by including a break and dish in his three wins.

Sixth played third as New Eltham Social Club visited Bellegrove B and it was a lot closer than the league standings suggest.

Each set was won 3-2 but it was the home side that edged it by 2 sets to 1 and 8 frames to 7.

Billy Dolby was on form for Eltham winning all of his three frames as did Martin Hession for Bellegrove.

In the Reserve League Greenwich Town Social Club went a step closer to the championship as they remain unbeaten with Boston Crabs their latest victims by 8 frames to 4.

Pickwick Academicals stay in second place with their 7-5 win over Quid Pro Cue.
