A TEAM from Bexleyheath Golf Club won the Emercourt Trophy at Littlestone GC this week.
The six-strong Bexleyheath contingent beat last year’s winners Wrotham Heath by four points to claim the title in an event which attracted 140 players from 36 clubs across the county.
This was the second time that Bexleyheath GC have won the Trophy, having been successful in 2003 at the same venue.
In addition to winning the team trophy, one of Bexleyheath’s three pairs, Keith Deadman and Jeff Lucas, won the prize for the highest score on the day (40 points).
The other two pairs who made up the team of six were Doug Fillary and Jack Whitman, together with Brian Copleston team captain Alan Chard.
