KENT Ravens Rugby League Club have taken up a fantastic opportunity to promote rugby league in the south-east.

They will be the sport's sole representatives at the Sport 2006 exhibition this weekend (August 19 and August 20).

The Ravens will have a massive area consisting of a main promotion stand and also the Powergen skills zone which will take any children wanting to have ago at tackling, kicking, passing and much more.

The Sport 2006 show is held at the scenic Groombridge Place in Groombridge Village which is situated just west of Tunbridge wells on the B2110 (Junction 5 of M25 then south on A21 then onto the A264), gates open at 10am and goes on to around 6pm.

You'll find the rugby league area in the central area next to football and near the display arena.

Sport 2006 will be the most exciting event of the summer holidays in the south-east.

The whole family will be able to try over 30 different sports in one day amid the stunning backdrop of Groombridge Place.

Each sport, from athletics to rowing, football to rugby league and from lacrosse to fencing will have a dedicated purpose-built area where everyone can 'have a go' in a safe and professional environment.

In the main arena there will be demonstrations from some of the best sports people in their field.

You can also 'star in' the central displays of Cheerleading, Aerobics or 'show your strength' in the Tug of War.

Prices normally start at £16 at the gate for an adult (children £14) but if you book through the Kent Ravens RLFC then quote KENT RAVENS RL when purchasing the tickets then all tickets are half price through sport2006.co.uk or by calling 0870 128 3598.
