SIDCUP pro modified drag racer Ray White endured a disappointing Easter weekend when the 2010 MSA British drag racing championship began at Santa Pod Raceway.
Having appeared rarely on the pro mod scene over the past two years, White and his team lacked ‘match fitness’.
A succession of mechanical problems dogged their progress and White’s weekend amounted to a single, stuttering pass down the track, a deeply frustrating return on the team’s hours of hard work.
With the competitive rust cleared from their system, the crew will aim for better things when MSA round two takes place in conjunction with the start of the FIA European Championship at Santa Pod’s main event at the end of May.
