FOR the third consecutive year Swanley and District AC travelled to Basildon to win the team silver at the Essex PB 5m road race.
On a flat, fast road course around Basildon, designed for fast times, Mike Baron was first in for the club in 28.31mins.
Fifteen-year-old Nick Woods, just behind with 29.37mins, setting a new junior club record in the process.
Mick Boddy put in another solid performance with 31.34mins and Simon Robertson, returning to form, with 32.47mins.
Brian Pitkin had another excellent run, slicing more than half a minute from his personal best with a time of 33.13mins.
Jane Blackmore was the first lady home for Swanley in 35.26mins followed by Stephanie Wood, returning form months out with a knee injury, finishing in 39.33mins.
Zena Harper completed the team with an excellent 46.27mins for another personal best.

In the Fun Run, the Swanley Panthers had a good turn out with Carlotte Wood well placed ahead of Leigh Robertson, Hannah Pitkin, Callum Boddy and Sharnia Robertson.
