THE Istead and Ifield Harriers came third in the opening meeting of the Southern Men's League.
Their haul of 114 points leaves them in mid-table.
On Bank Holiday Monday, 13 runners took part in two different 10km races and one five mile race in various parts of Kent.
The outstanding performance came from Sally Whitelaw who took two minutes off her best time at the Whitstable 10km.

Whitstable 10k with 549 finishers: 105th, David Abery - 44.29mins; 147th, Sally Whitelaw - 46.20mins; 213th, Tanya Yates - 48.53mins; 246th, Richard Storr - 50.57mins; 444th, Leslie Irvine - 60.06secs.
Ted Pepper 10k - a Kent GP race and South Counties Vets Championship - with 217 finishers: 81st, Peter Burton - 41.48mins (second over-60); 151st, Steve Casson - 47.17mins; 199th, Bob Carter 54.13mins (third over-65); 200th, Sue Beecham - 54.46mins.
Hildenborough 5m with 97 runners: 4th, Mark Champion - 28.51mins; 7th, Steve Cable - 30.14mins; 13th, Andy Archer - 32.30mins; 34th, Lynne Champion - 37.06mins.
