ROBERT Keys' men are struggling to get their cricket season going with just one victory in five matches so far.
As they prepare to face Yorkshire in the County Championship today, Kent are fifth in the championship table and bottom in the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy (C&G).
However Key, whose highest score from his six innings this season is 23, remains positive.
He said: "I haven't got the runs I'd like but I've had a good time of it over the past couple of years and you always have these little troughs.
"Not many teams go to Middlesex and win."
The seven wickets victory over Middlesex was followed by defeat to Surrey in the C&G Trophy and a six-wicket loss to Lancashire in the County Championship.
Against Lancashire, Kent crashed in the second innings for just 124 all out leaving the hosts just 89 runs to win.
