ONE of north Kent's premier boxers is preparing to do battle for the Commonwealth featherweight title.
Marc Callaghan, 27, faces Jackson Asiku on November 18 at the Goresbrook Leisure Centre, Dagenham.
Marc, from Days Lane, Blackfen, trains at Soul Power Gym, Crayford Way, Crayford.
His trainer, George Radman, said: "It will be a great 50/50 fight.
"Mark's had 27 fights and won 25 of them and he is a really good operator.
"This is a step up from his normal weight but he cannot wait as he lives for the game and is a solid pro."
Ugandan-born Asiku has 17 wins and three losses to his name.
