Pupils at Ravens Wood have been celbrating after the school's under-12 football team won the Kent Cup Final, beating Tunbridge Wells Grammer in the final played at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Beckenham.
On a cold and windy evening, 200 spectators watched Ravens Wood win 4-1.
It was soon evident the superior size and speed of the Ravens Wood players were going to be too powerful for their rivals.
CJ Campbell was a rock in defence and Elliot Cox a handful in attack, while Perry Scofield-Lamoon dominated the midfield and also scored a goal.
Special mention has also to be made of Josh Hughes, who skilfully sewed up the left-flank and released the forwards with some pinpoint passes, while John Marquis scored one goal and Elliot Cox narrowly missed out on a hat-trick.
Team manager Mr. Bilsby was justifiably proud of his team which now progresses to the national competition, representing Kent.
The Ravens Wood squad comprised: Ryan Griggs, Josh Hughes, Reiss Boyle, Aaron Smith, Ryan Noonan, CJ Campbell, Sam Dalby, Perry Scofield-Lamoon, Elliot Cox, John Marquis, Kane Brooke, Ben Middleton, Joe Grainger, Jamie Vernham-Warner, Lyle Boenke and Kieron Melly.
