BEXLEYHEATH'S Vincent Caveney and his playing partner, Jeremy Davies from Westgate-on-Sea, are through to the final of the prestigious Audi Quattro Cup UK golf tournament.
They secured their place in the final, being played at the Forest of Arden, near Meriden, in Warwickshire, on September 21 and 22, after finishing second in one of six regional finals this one being held at the Marriott Tudor Park Golf Club, near Maidstone, last Thursday.
Caveney and Davies had reached the regional final stage courtesy of top results in the East Kent Audi Faversham Golf Club tournament, held at the end of June.
They are one of 12 pairs to have qualified to contest the 18-hole final being run on Stableford rules.
The winning pair and runners-up in September's UK Final will then advance to contest the Audi Quattro Cup World Final being staged at Vilamoura in Portugal, from October 20-24, when players from more than 30 countries will be represented.
