This week saw the first round of the team knockout in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance and produced some very close games with the MSW Premier Division’s the Pickwick almost eliminated.

180BETS.com First Division’s the Summerfield almost pulled off the shock of the round, scaring the life out of the Pickwick who having led 4-1 in frames found themselves 7-6 down before eventually winning 8-7 in frames after securing their place in the second round on the final black.

The Blue Anchor also had an exciting match against Anglesea Arms in which the Anchor rallied from 6-5 in frames down to eventually win through 8-7 in frames thanks to Andy Abbott’s superb final frame.

Riley’s Ramblers inspired by Scott Foster 3/3 and Bredan O’Sullivan 2/2 overcame the stubborn resistance of the White Hart by 8-6 in frames and avenge their recent league defeat.

In the final tie in the first round the Running Horses secured their place in the second round with a credible away win by 8-5 in frames at the Gallies playing some confident tactical pool.
