FOUR members of Dartford & Whiteoak Triathlon Club took part in last weekend’s Dextro World Series Triathlon at Hyde Park.
Whiteaok’s team was made up of father and son, Paul and Ross Fisher, Mike Larrington and Roy Knight.
The distance of the race consisted of a 750m swim in the Serpentine, a 20km bike ride and five km run, all within the park.
This was a big difference in distance from the Ironman Triathlon in Austria, in which Paul Fisher and Larrington competed in earlier this year.
The weather for Sunday's race was perfect with warm water in the Serpentine giving everyone a good start to the day.
Ross achieved the 10th fastest overall swim of the day, finishing second in his age group for the event.
Knight qualified for next year’s European Triathlon Championships in Ireland with a third place finish in his age group.
