ORPINGTON Excelsior Bowls Club played their first roll-up of the season on Saturday.
More than 60 people attended the seasonal opener and the following day saw the club hold their first competitive fixture at home to Chislehurst-based Duke of Kent Court.
There was plenty to celebrate for Orpington as both the men and women enjoyed victories.
A triple made up of Vera Stevens, Julia Chance and Christine Perzyna claimed a 35-27 success in their encounter.
Meanwhile, a four-strong rinks team made up of Bill Stevens, Peter Campbell, Ron Dennett and Ian Ashurst won their meeting 81-78.
