It may have been a week late but Hotshots held on to the top spot in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance Premier Division for the extra week to become champions.

They were three points ahead of Eltham Terrace Rovers going into the extra week but an, 11-4 triumph over fourth placed, Bellegrove meant that Rovers needed a, 15-0 whitewash against Hustlers Simply Lovleh to topple Hotshots.

Initially the match was a close run affair, with Hotshots edging the first two sets, 3-2 but they went on to take all five frames in the final set to end the season in style.

It was a great all round team performance with Danny Kelliher and Steve Krishnan winning two of their three frames but both Neil Hall and Connor Hewson were unbeaten, winning two and three frames respectively.

By winning four frames, Bellegrove did just enough to steal third place from Eltham Terrace Club A by just one point.

Eltham Terrace Rovers pushed Hotshots all the way but in the end the deficit was a little too much to overcome, although they did beat Simply Lovleh, 8-7 to finish six points behind the champions.

Rovers got off to a perfect start with Chris Hobbis clearing from a dry break and Ryan Francis performing a break and dish in the first two frames and Rovers went on to take the set, 4-1.

The second set also went to Rovers by 3 frames to 2 but Simply Lovleh turned it around in the final set, with a, 4-1 triumph to make the score more respectable.

As well as his fantastic clearance in the first frame, Hobbis went on to complete his unbeaten hat-trick.

Simply Lovleh avoid the relegation play-off, as Hustlers A could only manage an, 8-7 victory over bottom side, Bellegrove Social Club.

It looked like the score line was going to be much higher, as Hustlers won the first three frames but Bellegrove took the next three to tie the match.

The next four frames were shared, making the score all square at five all going into the final set.

Jordan O'Connor and Nick Steadman both won their third frames of the night, to put Hustlers, 7-5 in front, then Dave Jandu pulled one back for Bellegrove before Joe Kane brought the points home for Hustlers.

Steve Knight completed his hat-trick with the fifteenth frame to bring Bellegrove back to within one frame.

After finishing three points behind Simply Lovleh, Hustlers will battle it out against Rose Inn to see who will be playing Premier Division pool next winter season.

Talking of play-offs, the first/second division match was played this week between Division One's Fox & Hounds and North Heath Social Club from Division Two, to see who would be playing in the first division next winter season.

The first set swung one way then the other, with North Heath narrowly taking it, 3-2 but the second set couldn't have been more different, as North Heath whitewashed it, 5-0 to win the match, 8-2 without the need for a third set.

Ian Stringer, Kev Nankoo and Harry Lear all won both their frames and Brett Crawley was victorious in his only frame to help North Heath leapfrog Fox into the first division.

There was lots of cup action also taking place this week, with the culmination of the group stages of the League Cup, along with one of the semi-finals, as well as the semi-finals of the Founder's Cup.

Starting with the Founder's Cup, there were two lower division sides left in the competition, Sharks and Bellegrove Flyers and the draw on the night kept the two apart, with Sharks pitted against Eltham Terrace Club A and Flyers faced Pickwick.

Despite there being twelve places and two divisions between Pickwick and Flyers, it was quite an evenly matched affair, that quickly settled into a fudge fest, with both teams prepared to grind it out.

Pickwick edged the first frame but Keith Mitchell performed an impressive clearance to level the match.

Paul Gafa and Martin Storey, the Pickwick's wily old foxes, outmanoeuvred their opponents to give their team a, 3-1 lead before Graham Lamb reduced the deficit, to give Pickwick a, 3-2 lead going into the second set.

A fluked black by Gafa and Storey eased the Pickwick, 5-2 in front, then the next two frames were shared.

Lamb appeared to have won his second frame of the night when he potted the black but he sportingly called a foul on himself to leave the Pickwick only needing one for victory.

A controversial refereeing decision saw frame eleven go to Flyers, before Storey completed his hat-trick in frame twelve to give his side the, 8-4 triumph.

Despite their up and down season, Pickwick have won through to the final of the SLKPA Founder's Cup and will play either Sharks or Eltham Terrace Club A.

The lower league side had a brighter start, showing why they deserve to be playing Premier Division pool next winter season, taking the first set, 3-2.

They also took the first frame of the second set to double their lead but Terrace won the next two frames to tie the match and it was still tied at the end of the second set, after the last two frames were shared to make it five all going into the final set.

Dave Rawlinson put Terrace ahead for the first time in the game and that was quickly followed by Dan Heinink winning his third frame of the night to put Terrace, 7-5 ahead.

Chris Mackenzie completed his hat-trick to pull one back for Sharks but Ben McIntosh won the fourteenth frame to give his side the, 8-6 victory putting them into the final alongside Pickwick.

So the bad weather put the SLKPA League Cup into disarray but fixtures were caught up this week to complete the group stage.

Group B was the only group that had been decided with Flyers qualifying for the semi-final and they were to play the winners of Group A.

It was still mathematically possible for three teams, Eltham Terrace Rack Pack, North Heath Social Club and Academicals to qualify, although Rack Pack were in pole position and the other two played each other.

The first set between North Heath and Academicals was a hard fought battle, which North Heath just edged, 3-2.

The second set was a horror story for Academicals as only Tony Bailey troubled the scorers with his second victory of the night, which meant North Heath had a, 7-3 lead.

Set three had a much better start for Academicals, with Chris Bracey fudging for his life, then clearing well once he had forced the error.

Captaining the side for the first time, Kevin England made a great clearance before Dean Williams won his second frame of the night to give Academicals the set, 3-2 but it wasn't quite enough, as North Heath ended up victors by 9 frames to 6.

That was enough to put them five points ahead of Rack Pack, who were playing the bottom side Bellegrove A.

Rack Pack sailed past that target, eventually finishing up triumphant by 12 frames to 3, to top the group unbeaten.

It was a superb team performance by Rack Pack, with Steve Unwin, Steve Heather and Chris Parlett all winning two of their three frames but Tony Frost and Graham Levingbird both went one better with three frame wins.

As Flyers were involved in the Founder's Cup this week, the League Cup semi-final between them and Rack Pack will take place next week on 22 March, so let's find out who contested the other semi-final by seeing how Groups C and D finished.

In Group C, Rose Inn were just one point behind Fox & Hounds, so only had to avoid a whitewash against Happy Hustlers and they did just that with a, 9-6 triumph.

Leighton Aston was the inspiration behind the victory, winning all three of his frames to help send his team into the semi-final.

Crayford Social Club Rugrats needed to beat New Eltham Club, 10-5 or better in order to pip them at the post and meet Rose Inn in the semi-final.

New Eltham were holding their position at the top, taking the first two frames but a break and dish from Rugrats Captain, Scott Shephard sparked a run of seven frames on the bounce.

The tenth frame went to New Eltham to make the score, 7-3 going into the final set.

The first two frames of the last set were shared, giving Rugrats the victory but they still needed two out of the last three frames to qualify.

Shephard won his third of the night to leave his side one frame away from the semi-final, which Mark Knevett skilfully secured with his third frame win, to give his side the 10-5 triumph and top the group.

The teams that finished second and third in the first division during the regular season, Rugrats and Rose Inn met in the first semi-final of the League Cup.

Rugrats beat Rose in both the league matches, with an aggregate score of, 19-11 and the winning streak continued, with an, 8-4 win to put them in the final against either Rack Pack or Flyers.
