With just two matches remaining in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance Premier Division, the inevitable has been confirmed and Bellegrove Social Club will be relegated, after just one season in the top flight.

They had gone all fifteen games without a win this season and that wasn’t going to change this week when they faced the league leaders, Eltham Terrace Rovers.

Rovers meant business and started as they meant to go on, taking the first set, 4-1 which included a break and dish from Ryan Francis.

They impressed their superiority by whitewashing the second set, before finishing the game strongly with another, 4-1 set win, for an overall, 13-2 trouncing.

Francis went on to win all three of his frames, which included another break and dish and he was joined by Chris Hobbis and Darren Porter, with Dean Rider also unbeaten on two frame wins.

This result extends Rovers lead at the top to three points over Hotshots, as they only managed an, 11-4 victory over three man Hustlers A.

The game started with Hustlers taking the first two frames by clearing from the break but Hotshots won the next eleven frames, before Adam Coppen and Tony Gear made it slightly more respectable for Hustlers.

Hotshots star performers were Richard Chapman with an unbeaten brace and Andre Cox who scored three out of three for the second week in a row.

The two teams behind Hotshots, Eltham Terrace Club A and Bellegrove met each other this week to effectively battle it out for third place.

Bellegrove started the better, with Declan Kelly and Steve Lloyd taking the first two frames but that soon slipped away as Terrace won the next three frames for the set.

Kelly and Lloyd were both playing well and won frames in the second set but Terrace also won two of the first four frames in the set to stay ahead by, 5 frames to 4.

Barry Barham equalised for Bellegrove by cutting in a yellow from an impossible angle, across the top cushion, before sinking the black.

Terrace restored their one frame lead with the first frame of the last set but Lloyd completed his hat-trick, his second in a row to tie the match again, then Bellegrove took the final three frames for a, 9-6 triumph.

Bellegrove switched places with Terrace, however they are on the same points and fifteen behind Hotshots.

Eltham Terrace Nuthouse are still in fifth despite losing to Hustlers Simply Lovleh this week.

The Lovlehs only had four players but still took the first set, 3-2 and each player won in the second, to make it, 7-3.

Nuthouse had to whitewash the final set to win and they came close, taking it 4-1 but it wasn’t quite enough to prevent the Lovleh's, 8-7 victory.

There was only one unbeaten player on the night, Lovleh's Tony Stork.

However this win wasn’t enough to lift them out of the relegation play-off spot but they are just three points behind Hustlers A.

Before this week there were thirteen points between second bottom, Hustlers B and Pickwick, so Pickwick were looking to pull away from the relegation dogfight.

However it was Hustlers who got off to the better start, taking the first set, 4-1 but Pickwick fought hard and took the lead by 6 frames to 5.

Hustlers didn’t let that get them down, sticking at it to win the next three frames to get themselves over the line by, 8 frames to 6, before Pickwick took the last frame to bring it back to within one, 8-7.

Man of the match was Paul Dawson, winning all three frames against his former team, to make it eight wins out of the last nine for him.

So although Bellegrove Social Club have lost their struggle for survival any two of the next four teams, Hustlers A & B, Pickwick and Simply Lovleh could join them in the relegation places.

Divisions One and Two have finished their league season so have turned their attentions to the League Cup, with all the teams mixed up into four groups for the first stage.

Group A was the only one with two matches, having two teams from each of the previous divisions and there was mixed fortunes.

Division Two's North Heath Social Club met Bellegrove A, who finished bottom of the first division and it was the lower division side who came out on top and by quite a margin, 13-2.

The other match also had a large winning margin, with Eltham Terrace Rack Pack beating Academicals by 12 frames to 3.

Four of Rack Pack's players won all of their team's frames with Tony Frost, Graham Levingbird, Chris Parlett and Jamie Walkey all scoring hat-tricks.

Hitting the top of Group B are Sharks, who beat Foots Cray Social Club, 12-3 to pile the pressure on Bellegrove Flyers to do well, after their free week.

Fox & Hounds took pole position in Group C, after beating Happy Hustlers, 10-5.

They raced to a, 4-1 lead in the first set, before taking the next two by 3 frames to 2.

Both Clare Stork and Matt Prince won two of their three frames for Hustlers but Fox had two unbeaten players, Clive Forrest with two frame wins and Kerry Wyatt, who won all three.

Group D saw a derby between Crayford Social Club Rugrats and CSC Mr's & Miss Q's, with Rugrats ending up, 9-6 winners.
