Eltham Terrace Club A are now top of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance Premier Division in their own right, as they are now the only unbeaten team in the top division.

I’d like to say it was a battle between teams from the Terrace, as the league leaders faced Eltham Terrace Rovers but Rovers didn’t really turn up, or wished they hadn’t because they were thrashed, 13-2.

The A team got off to a perfect start, whitewashing the first set, 5-0, which included a break and dish by Mark Eldridge.

The second set was much closer, as Rovers looked to get themselves back in the match but the A team still took the set by 3 frames to 2.

Rovers knew it wasn’t their day when Dave Rawlinson got out of a snooker, using two cushions to pot the black and to add insult to injury he repeated this in the third set to help his team whitewash the final set as well.

Eltham Terrace Club A were absolutely rampant with Dan Foley, Dan Vowles, Dan Heinink, Shane Hutley and Paul Shrimpton joining Rawlinson on two out of two frame wins.

This result sends Rovers to the bottom of the table, fifteen points behind their opponents at the top.

Piclwick lose their unbeaten run this week and drop to fourth, with their opponents, Hotshots leapfrogging them into second by just two points.

Hotshots got off to a great start, taking the first set, 4-1 which turned out to be a deficit that Pickwick couldn’t claw back as Hotshots finished up victorious by 9 frames to 6.

Both captains, Paul Slater and Andre Cox set an example for the rest of the team by winning all three of their frames.

Joining Hotshots on 34 points are Falconwood Club, after they beat Eltham Terrace Nuthouse this week.

Nuthouse looked to be continuing their wonderful start to the season when they took the first four frames but Falconwood won nine of the next eleven to eventually run out 9-6 winners.

It was a game of missed opportunities for Nuthouse and when they did Falconwood were on hand to capitalise.

There was some lovely pool played by Falconwood’s Stacy Redman, Declan Kelly and Kieran Evans to pull their team back into the match but full credit goes to Barry Barham, who performed a break and dish in frame thirteen to go unbeaten with two frame wins on the night and give his team the victory.

Falconwood Social didn’t have such a good time, as they had a bad day at the office ,handing Crayford Social Club Rugrats their first victory of the season.

It was a fine display from Rugrats who had their skipper, Scott Shephard and Adam Hewson to thank for their 10-5 triumph, after they both finished with unbeaten hat-tricks.

This result puts Rugrats on the same points as their opponents in seventh.

Just behind the two and also on 26 points are Bellegrove, as their poor start to the season continues, with their fourth defeat in a row.

Ironically they were happy with the final result, as Hustlers A took the first set, 5-0 but Bellegrove did extremely well to make the final score a more respectable, 8-7 in Hustlers favour.

I don’t know if the two teams had somewhere else to go but this incredibly close match was all over in just under two hours, a possible record for the SLKPA.

If Rugrats season has just got underway then Crayford's other team, CSC Mr’s & Miss Q’s are riding high at the top of SLKPA Division One and are still unbeaten.

Their opponents were Glenmore Arms, who were unbeaten themselves until this week but CSC showed championship winning form to triumph by 9 frames to 6.

It was a tight match with CSC taking each set by the odd frame, 3-2 to go eight points ahead of Glenmore in third.

Ross Webster won his only frame for the victors but Martin Budge was the star of the show, scoring three out of three.

Just one point behind CSC and also unbeaten are Bellegrove Social Club after they recorded a massive 12-3 win over bottom team Foots Cray Social Club, leaving them still winless for the season.

Despite the huge win only two players were unbeaten, with Alex Dobbins and Dave Jandu both winning all three of their frames.

It was a much closer affair for one of the other Bellegrove sides, Bellegrove A, who faced Eltham Terrace Rack Pack.

Rack Pack stormed the first set, 4-1 but Bellegrove battled back and won the second set, 3-2 with the help of a break and dish from Steve Hughes.

It was 6-4 in Rack Pack’s favour going into the final set but Hughes was on fire and secured his second dish of the night, this time from a dry break and Bellegrove won the second frame in the set as well to tie the match at six all.

Both teams had some good fortune and shared the next two frames to take the match into a final frame decider, which Nathan Lampen won to complete the comeback for Bellegrove A and give them an, 8-7 victory.

Jamie Walkey made an impressive debut for Rack Pack, winning two of his three frames and he was supported by Tony Frost, who finished on the same score.

North Heath Social Club made it two in a row this week, after they beat Royal Oak Addicks, 10-5 with Akar Necati recording his own two in a row, scoring three out of three for the second week running.

Despite losing to Bellegrove Flyers, Fox & Hounds go top of SLKPA Division Two, although they have played one more game than their nearest rivals.

Fox took an early, 3-2 lead but Flyers fought hard and won the next set by the same score to tie the match at five all, before taking the final set, 4-1 to win the match by 9 frames to 6.

Richard Marsh played the anchor in each set for the Flyers and held his nerve to win all three.

Sharks are second, one point behind Fox, despite not having a game and Rose Inn are unbeaten in third, three points behind Sharks.

Rose send Plumstead Radical Club to the bottom of the table with a massive 13-2 victory.

Rose were dominant from start to finish, winning the first six frames before Danny Campbell stopped the rot for Radical Club.

The victors went on to win the next seven frames with Radical Captain, Angie Hobbs taking the final frame.

It was a great all round team performance for Rose with Neil Mundy winning his only frame, Ben Main scored an unbeaten brace but Dean Greaney-Parr and Michael Bunn won all three of their frames.

Since Orpington Sports Club withdrew from the league earlier this week, Greyhound Elite had to look again for their first win of the season and they did so at the first time of asking with a surprise victory against Academicals.

Donna Mullins won the first frame for Academicals and Chris Bracey the third, his fourth this season without potting the black, but they still managed to lose the set, 3-2.

Things went from bad to worse for Academicals, as they were whitewashed in the second set and lost the third by the same score as the first, making the overall score, 11-4 to Greyhound.

Greyhound finished with three unbeaten players; Jon Peters won his only frame, Lewis Brind scored two and Billy Russell got a hat-trick.

This result takes Greyhound above Academicals in the table, however they are level on points.
