South London & Kent Pool Alliance winter season week three and it’s three out of three for the top three, CSC Mr’s & Miss Q’s, Bellegrove Social Club and Glenmore Arms, in the first division.

CSC are four points clear at the top, after a 10-5 victory over Foots Cray Social Club, which left them winless and sent them to the bottom of the table.

Foots Cray took an early 2-1 lead but CSC won the set, 3-2 and never looked back as they went onto win the second set by the same score and the final set by 4 frames to 1.

James Toby did his best to keep the score respectable for Foots Cray by winning two of his three frames but CSC’s Steven Aldridge and Luke Matthews did most of the damage, both scoring a hat-trick.

Bellegrove Social Club scraped an, 8-7 victory over Royal Oak Addicks to stay one point ahead of Glenmore Arms, who recorded a 10-5 win over another Bellegrove team, Bellegrove A.

Glenmore got out of the blocks the quickest, winning the first two sets, 4-1 but Bellegrove battled back and took the final set, 3-2.

Terry Mitchell fought the hardest for Bellegrove, winning two of his three frames.

On the other hand, Glenmore had three unbeaten players, Dan Brown scored a brace, Lewis Hearn won all three of his frames, as did AJ Corker, for the second week in a row.

North Heath Social Club picked up their first win of this season and their first in eight SLKPA matches with a, 9-6 triumph over Eltham Terrace Rack Pack.

Each side had a 100% player on the night, with Akar Necati, for the victors and Rack Pack’s Alex Thompson both winning three frames.

This result puts North Heath in fifth and Rack Pack sixth, with only one point separating the two.

Talking of closeness, all but one match in the SLKPA Premier Division was a tight affair and the match that wasn't was an, 11-4 win for Hotshots over Crayford Social Club Rugrats, leaving them winless and bottom of the table.

Also winless and surprisingly so, are the current winter season champions, Bellegrove who’s poor start to the season continues with an, 8-7 loss to newly promoted Eltham Terrace Nuthouse.

The match couldn’t have been closer as it swung one way then the other, with each team taking one of the first two sets by the odd frame, 3-2 to leave the match all square at five all going into the final set.

Zoe Healy won the eleventh frame, her second out of three played, to put the Nuthouse ahead but George Covington levelled the score again.

Jon Syta gave Nuthouse the advantage again with his second frame win of the night but Kevin Smith won the penultimate frame to send the match into a final frame decider.

The last frame saw two unbeaten players meet, as Bellegrove’s Paul Williams, on one frame win and Nuthouse Captain, Craig Jones, with two victories and it was the captain who held his nerve to record his hat-trick and give his side the win.

Despite the loss, Bellegrove’s Clive Black finished unbeaten with two frame wins.

This was a huge win for the Nuthouse, putting them three points and three places above their opponents.

The top two, Eltham Terrace Club A and Pickwick cannot be separated and remain unbeaten with 8-7 victories this week.

Pickwick’s great run continued with an excellent all round team performance to beat Hustlers A.

Adam Coppen kept the score to within one frame with a break and dish in the final frame and Tony Gear did his utmost to keep Hustlers in the match with an unbeaten hat-trick.

Falconwood Social pushed Eltham Terrace Club A all the way but the league leaders kept up their unbeaten start to the season.

The highlight of the night was a brilliant clearance from a dry break by the in-form Elliot Giles.

The other Falconwood team, Falconwood Club raced to an 8-1 lead against Eltham Terrace Rovers but Rovers showed great spirit to fight back to a, 9-6 loss, despite having already lost the match.

Falconwood's Captain, Paul Elford led from the front with three out of three frame wins.

The top two in SLKPA Division Two, Fox & Hounds and Sharks faced each other this week and as both teams were unbeaten, one of those records had to go.

Sharks were dominant throughout, leading from the off and they went onto take the first two sets, 4-1 and the final set, 3-2 to give them an overall, 11-4 victory.

Alan Dolan and Clive Forrest were the only winners for Fox, both scoring two out of three frames.

Arif Salih and Kevin Dempsey both won all three of their frames to help Sharks open up a five point lead over their opponents.

Despite the loss, Fox hold onto second place as Rose Inn could only manage an, 8-7 triumph over Academicals.

Rose Inn won the first two sets by the odd frame, 3-2 but Academicals made a comeback in the final set, winning it by the same score but sadly it wasn’t enough for their second win of the season.

Academicals didn’t expect to score as many frames as they did so were pleased with the overall team performance, especially Gary Mason, Dean Williams and their debutant Nick Morris, who all won two of their three frames.

Michael Bunn scored another hat-trick for Rose, which makes him unbeaten in nine frames for the season, helping his team to also remain unbeaten for the season.

Bellegrove Flyers sent Plumstead Radical Club to the bottom of the table with a massive, 11-4 triumph.

Greyhound Elite picked up their first win of the season, albeit by default as Orpington Sports Club could not field a team.
