Josh Wainwright improved 10 places on his starting position on the grid in the British Superbikes series last weekend.
In round six of the series held at Thruxton, the Thamesmead racer started 29th out of 32 riders.
But Wainwright, who races for PR Racing BMW, demonstrated pace and skill to move up 10 places to finish race one in 19th.
The first race was severely disrupted due to Stuart Easton’s bike setting alight but Be Wiser Ducanti’s Shane Byrne crossed the winning line first.
In the second race, Wainwright could only move up five places and finished 24th with Michael Laverty sealing the win.
