Orpington boxer Alex Bellingham is hungry for success as he prepares to lace the gloves back on and resume his career.

The 22-year-old will face Kaspar Dudzinski on the undercard of the televised Queensbury Boxing League show taking place at the Copthorne Effingham Park Hotel on Saturday night.

Bellingham, a former amateur champion, trains at the Keddles Gym in St Mary Cray and said: “I won gold at the Box Cup in London and had a good run in the amateurs, but I wasn’t very active which is why I decided to move on and make a name for myself in the Queensbury league.

“I’ve followed the show on TV and watched plenty of fights, and from what I can see it looks like the busy active boxers do really well, and I’m very confident I can do the same.

“Since the start of the year I have been in the gym training hard waiting for an opportunity to box, and since I got the call a few weeks back my focus has completely changed.

“In the build up to this fight everything is now focussed on training, eating right and making sure I’m in the best possible shape, and my ultimate goal is to win titles down the line and eventually turn professional in the competition.”
