The culmination of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance Winter 2015/16 season was the Founders Cup Final, played between second in the Premier Division O'Connors and Eltham Terrace Club A who finished fifth.

Ben McIntosh got Eltham off to a perfect start with a break and dish in the first frame against Tony Gear, although he was helped by a fluke early in the clearance.

The other four frames in the set were scrappy, with O'Connors failing to take their chances, which boosted Eltham's confidence and they went onto win the first set by 4 frames to 1,which included a win for Dan Foley in his only frame.

McIntosh continued to pot well and increased Eltham's lead by winning the sixth frame.

O'Connors now started to take their chances and won the next three frames, with Adam Coppen uncharacteristically fudging his way to victory in frame eight to go with his win in set one for his unbeaten brace and Micky Clayton won his only frame.

Dave Rawlinson took the last frame of the set to give Eltham their two frame cushion back despite O'Connors winning the set, 3-2.

A mistake by McIntosh in the first frame of the final set allowed Jordan O'Connor to clear up, denying McIntosh his hat-trick and taking O'Connors to within one frame again, at 6-5.

In the next frame Mark Eldridge was presented with an awkward clearance, which he navigated well to earn his second frame win of the night and move Eltham to within one frame of victory.

Just as McIntosh started the match perfectly, Rawlinson also ended it perfectly, with a break and dish to win the cup for Eltham Terrace Club A by 8 frames to 5.

The clearance was a difficult one where any mistake could have let Danny Moffat in to clear up himself but Rawlinson played majestically for his three out of three.

Everyone agreed it was a well deserved victory with the best team winning on the night.
