The South London & Kent Pool Alliance Division Two league season has come to a close and Bellegrove Social Club have finished top of the pile before going into the play offs.

The last game of the league season was a real top of the table derby match, as the Social Club faced second placed Bellegrove A.

The A team needed to recoup a six point gap to finish top and it looked like they may do that as they took the first set, 4-1 with Nathan Lampen performing a wonderful clearance in the first frame.

The Social Club battled back and won the second set by 3 frames to 2 to make the score 6-4 in the A team's favour.

The Social Club's Martin Luff won the first frame of the third to make it three out of three on the night for him.

The A team won the next frame leaving them needing only one more for the match but they couldn't get over the line and Steve Pearce snatched victory for the Social Club in the final frame decider.

The 8-7 score line was a repeat of earlier in the season and ensures the Social Club keep the bragging rights before the end of season play offs.

Glenmore Arms 2 overtake Crayford Social Club 2 and go into third place after a 9-6 victory over bottom team Greyhound Elite.

Despite the loss Bill Mossom and James Fickling came out with some credit, both winning two of their three frames.

The battle for the Premier Division title is really hotting up as Hotshots, in fourth secured a massive 13-2 victory over second placed Falconwood Club.

Hotshots put their recent dip in form behind them and were by far the better side, taking the first and third sets, 4-1 and whitewashing the second 5-0 to springboard them back to the top of the table..

It was a superb all round team performance, started off by Danny Kelliher, who took out a brilliant dish in the first frame and Steve Krishnan, Andre Cox and Benji Creffield all Won their three frames with confidence and style.

Richard Chapman fought hard and came out on top in a very tactical battle to finish unbeaten on two frame wins and Neil Hall was Mr Reliable.

The only Falconwood player to trouble the scorers was Alex Lawrence, who won two of his three frames.

On the same points as Hotshots are Bellegrove, who this week beat North Heath Social Club by 9 frames to 6.

It was a very close game considering the two teams were top and bottom going into the match but Bellegrove won the first two sets, 3-2 although North Heath had good chances but failed to take them.

North Heath made it 5-6 with the first frame of the third set but Bellegrove took the next two to secure the match.

North Heath Captain, Dave Selby pulled one back and became the only player to win three out of three on the night, before Bellegrove took the final frame.

O'Connors remain in third after an 8-7 triumph over fifth placed Eltham Terrace Club A.

Pickwick kept up their impressive 2016 form with another win in the relegation battle against Glenmore Arms A.

Each set was won, 3-2 but Pickwick were pegged back to six all at one stage but they ploughed on to take the last three frames for a 9-6 victory.

Paul Slater and Martin Storey were the inspiration behind the victory, each scoring unbeaten hat-tricks.

Alex Dobbins was fantastic all night and also won all three of his frames for Glenmore, which included a magnificent break and dish from his only break of the night.

Pickwick's new found form has lifted them four points clear of the relegation zone but they are still in the battle, as are Glenmore and Eltham Terrace Rovers, who lost this week.

Crayford Social Club Rugrats were their victors by 10 frames to 5, with Alan Enever and Shane Burnett both winning all three of their frames.

Fox & Hounds stay rooted to the bottom of SLKPA Division One after a narrow 8-7 loss against Royal Oak Addicks.

It was a tight affair throughout with each set being won, 3-2, Addicks took the first two and Fox the last despite going down to four players.

Both teams finished with an unbeaten player, Kerry Wyatt for Fox and Addicks Kevin Connor, each ending on three out of three.

Eltham Terrace Nuthouse caused a bit of an upset in their derby clash against Eltham Terrace Rack Pack, who are chasing promotion.

Nuthouse won the first set, 3-2 but did the damage in the second, winning it 4-1 before Rack Pack took the final set,3-2 giving the Nuthouse a 9-6 victory overall.

It was an excellent team performance from the Nuthouse, with every player contributing, Clare Stork and Julie Lancaster scored one out of two and one out of three respectively, Shane O'Reilly and Shaun Shephard both won two of their three frames but Captain, Craig Jones was top of the shop with an unbeaten hat-trick.

Rack Pack's Ernie Wellhausen was their only unbeaten player, winning all three of his frames.

Falconwood Social have gone one step closer to the first division title with an 11-4 triumph over Pickwick Academicals.

The score flatters the leaders somewhat, as many frames were close and could have gone either way.

This led to the champions elect winning the first two sets by the odd frame, 3-2 but they went on to take the last set 5-0.

It was Billy Levingbird and newly crowned Women's Singles Champion, Angela Hobbs who saved Academicals day by securing all their team's frames, with two out of three each.

Falconwood's Paul Doherty won both of his frames but Elliott Giles went one better, winning all three of his.
