The majority of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance saw Founders Cup action this week and the tie of round two was Hotshots v Falconwood Club, who are sitting in first and third in the Premier Division respectively.

Hotshots were unbeaten for the season going into this match but Falconwood took their chances and fired themselves into the third round with an 8-6 victory.

The inspiration behind the victory was Alex Lawrence and Dayle Stork, who both scored unbeaten hat-tricks.

Second in the top division, O'Connors also won by 8 frames to 6 but they were playing, fifteen places below them, Bellegrove Social Club.

All credit to the Division Two side for making a game of it against the Premier Division high flyers.

Bellegrove's other teams faired better, notching up wins, with Bellegrove A beating Foots Cray Social Club, 8-6 in the all Division Two affair and Bellegrove didn't give Eltham Terrace Rovers a look in with an 8-1 victory.

Ron Brown has the bragging rights in the Brown family, as his Eltham Terrace A team beat his son Dan's Glenmore Arms 2 side by 8 frames to 1.

Eltham took the first set, 4-1 which included a break and dish from Ben McIntosh.

They went on to win the first four frames of the second set to go into the next round.

Royal Oak Addicks have joined Bellegrove A as the only teams from outside the top division in the third round after an 8-3 victory over Crayford Social Club 2.

They won the first set, 4-1 but Crayford did well in the second, only going down by the odd frame, 3-2 to take the game into a third set.

Unfortunately for Crayford this only lasted one frame, as Addicks Captain, Dave Glenwright secured the win.

Addicks' Dan Smith won his only frame but Kevin Connor and Mick Gormley went one better with unbeaten braces.

The score in Crayford's other side, the Rugrats, match was also 8-3 but they were on the winning side against Eltham Terrace Nuthouse.

Pickwick forgot about their poor league form and produced an 8-3 victory over Fox & Hounds.

Fox took the first frame but Pickwick showed their Premier Division class over the bottom of Division One side to rattle off the next four frames.

By the end of the second set the score had become 7-3, with Pickwick only needing one for victory in the final set.

After a poor run Allan Formosa stepped up to win his third frame of the night to put Pickwick in the draw for the next round.

Also unbeaten were Martin Storey and George Hammond, both with two out of two.

Pickwick's cup joy soon turned to misery, after they heard that Glenmore Arms A had beaten North Heath Social Club, 8-7 in the night's only league match.

The result means that Glenmore have leapfrogged Pickwick, sending them second bottom.

Alex Dobbins returned to the SLKPA and had a great start in his first game for the Glenmore by winning all three of his frames and he was joined by Dean Coppen on the same score, with David Holpin just behind them on two out of three.

The result was even more satisfying as Glenmore only had four regular players so despite being Captain since their formation, Tracy Serff had to play herself for the first time in the SLKPA.

She played incredibly well and was unlucky not to record a win, after missing the black in the last set and in the first she cut a lovely black into the pocket, only for the cue ball to go down the other end of the table and also disappear down a hole.

This makes things really tight at the bottom of the Premier Division, as only three points separate Pickwick in second from bottom and Eltham Terrace Rovers, two places above them.
