Week ten of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance and the two teams from the Bellegrove in Division Two are battling it out for the top spot and promotion.

Bellegrove Social Club are currently top of the pile and remain there this week after a massive, 12-3 victory over bottom team Greyhound Elite.

It was a good night if your name was Steve, literally as both Steve Knight and Steve Pearce won all three of their frames.

Bellegrove Social Club have increased their lead at the top to fourteen points, as Bellegrove A beat Foots Cray Social Club, who were in third, by 11 frames to 4.

Considering they were two players short, Foots Cray did well to get four frames.

There must have been something in the water or beer that Bellegrove's Steves were drinking, as Bellegrove A's Stephen Craig also won all three of his frames but he didn't even pick up his cue.

As a result of the heavy defeat both Glenmore Arms 2 and Crayford Social Club 2 have overtaken Foots Cray.

Crayford got off to an amazing start against Glenmore, taking the first set, 5-0 but they only managed one more frame in the rest of the match, as Glenmore were described as, "Animals" in winning nine of the last ten frames for a 9-6 triumph.

The SLKPA Premier Division side, Bellegrove also notched up a victory, beating league leaders, O'Connors by 9 frames to 6.

Despite the victory, Bellegrove stay in fourth but O'Connors have dropped to second and been replaced by Falconwood Club, after their 13-2 slaughtering of the Pickwick.

Pickwick held their own in the first set, only going down, 3-2 but Falconwood dominated and won each of the next ten frames to send Pickwick into the relegation zone.

Falconwood skipper, Paul Elford won two out of two but Stacy Redman, Alex Lawrence and Declan Kelly all went one better on unbeaten hat-tricks, with Redman's including a fantastic clearance in his first frame.

Hotshots will be wondering what they have to do to hit the top spot, having fallen to third despite extending their unbeaten run to ten games, after victory against Eltham Terrace Rovers.

An upset was on the cards as Rovers won the first set, 3-2 but Hotshots switched that score in the second set and went on to take the last set by the same score to give them an 8-7 overall victory.

At the beginning of the match there were seven places between the teams but now there are four and that is a fairer reflection, after this closely matched battle played in a great atmosphere.

Ever dependable Danny Kelliher was the star of the show for Hotshots, performing a break and dish on his way to three out of three frame wins.

Crayford Social Club Rugrats run of good form has come to an end now after losing two on the bounce.

It was a brilliant start for Eltham Terrace A, as Dan Foley performed an awesome dish from a dry break in the first frame and they went on to win the set, 4-1.

Rugrats made the next two sets a bit closer but still lost them by 3 frames to 2, making the final score 10-5 in Eltham's favour.

Mark Eldridge won all three of his frames for Eltham and Dan Vowles and Dan Heinink were also unbeaten, with two frame wins each.

Steve Gibson emerged with some credit for Rugrats, achieving an unbeaten hat-trick.

Unfortunately Royal Oak Addicks couldn't field a side against Eltham Terrace Rack Pack in SLKPA Division One, which means Rack Pack have leapfrogged the Addicks by two points to take second place.

Falconwood Social have taken full advantage of this and extended their runaway lead at the top to 27 points.

Fox & Hounds were still making a game of it after the first two sets, only losing them both, 3-2 but Falconwood went into overdrive for the last set and whitewashed it, 5-0 for an overall 11-4 victory.

Alex Biggs made a victorious return to the team, coming back home for the Christmas break and winning both of his frames but Paul Doherty went one better with three out of three.

Pickwick Academicals Captain, Donna Levingbird really wanted to finish 2015 with a win and they have, finally beating Eltham Terrace Nuthouse by 8 frames to 7.

Shane O'Reilly's good season continued with three frame victories despite his team's loss.

All of the Academicals played some good pool, with Donna and Chris Bracey chipping in with a frame win each but by far the star of the show was Donna's son, Billy Levingbird, who won all three of his frames.

Bring on 2016!!!
