It was back to league action this week in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance and Pickwick Academicals picked themselves up after being knocked out of the cup last week to beat second in Division One, Royal Oak Addicks.

The performance was near perfect as Academicals took advantage of the Addicks dismal display to beat them by 12 frames to 3 and jump over them, from the bottom into second place.

Angela Hobbs, Dean Williams and Gary Mason all achieved unbeaten hat-tricks and Billy Levingbird won both of his frames to crown their best performance of the season.

The other two matches in the division both finished 9-6, with Eltham Terrace teams having mixed fortunes.

Rack Pack went into equal second with their win, sending Fox & Hounds to the bottom.

Whereas the Nuthouse went down to the division leaders, Falconwood Social, whose lead at the top is now eleven points.

Despite the loss Nuthouse's Zoe Healy and Craig Jones had good fortune, both winning two of their three frames, with Healy's including a 7-baller and Jones' a break and dish in consecutive frames.

This division is incredibly close, apart from Falconwood at the top the other teams have all changed places and only three points separate the five teams.

There was another shock in the SLKPA Premier Division, as Crayford Social Club Rugrats beat league leaders O'Connors in their own back yard.

Louis Wilbourne got the visitors off to a good start, beating Tony Gear in the opening frame but O'Connors rattled off the next three frames before Steve Gibson took the fifth frame to make the score 3-2 in O'Connors favour.

Rugrats did the damage in the second set, taking it by 4 frames to 1, giving them a 6-4 lead.

Ian Cruwys won the eleventh frame to extend the lead but O'Connors came back again to reduce the deficit to just one frame.

Wilbourne stepped up to become the only undefeated player with his third frame win of the night to secure the victory, before Danny Moffat won the last frame to make the final score 8-7 to Rugrats.

Rugrats are now in fifth, just eight points behind their opponents, who have dropped to third.

Taking over at the top are Bellegrove, who beat Glenmore Arms A by 10 frames to 5.

Paul Williams won both of his frames but Craig Mallinder went one better, with three out of three.

Just behind Bellegrove are Hotshots, who are still unbeaten after a narrow 8-7 triumph over Eltham Terrace Club A.

Eltham Terrace's other Premier Division team, Rovers also went down, 9-6 to Pickwick.

It wasn't a great night for pool, as neither team played well but birthday boy Dean James did his best to change that by winning all three of his frames.

Also finishing 9-6 was the match between North Heath Social Club and Falconwood Club, with the away team in the ascendency.

It was an incredibly close match, with at least half of the frames having the possibility of going either way.

Declan Kelly was fortunate to achieve a break and dish, having to pot the black from a snookered position, to record his unbeaten hat-trick for Falconwood.

North Heath's Captain, Dave Selby wasn't so fortunate, playing extremely well but missed out on his hat-trick.

Foots Cray Social Club have hit the top of SLKPA Division Two after a 10-5 triumph over Greyhound Elite.

There are now 22 points between the two teams and it really showed in this match, however Bill Mossom and James Fickling held their own for Greyhound, both winning two of their three frames.

Bellegrove Social Club have leapfrogged their opponents, Crayford Social Club 2, in to fourth after a massive 12-3 victory over them.

They set the pace right from the start, winning the first set, 4-1 and they went on to win the second, 3-2 before whitewashing the final set, 5-0.

Father and son duo, Stephen and Sam Pearce did most of the damage by winning three frames each and they were joined by Jason Brunton.

Royal Oak B's first season in the SLKPA continues to be winless, after losing 11-4 to Glenmore Arms 2.

Lewis Hearn was the star player of the night, after performing a break and dish.
