This week the South London & Kent Pool Alliance turned their attention to the team knockout, Founders Cup and the first round went without any real upsets.

You might be able to call the game between Royal Oak Addicks and Eltham Terrace Rack Pack a bit of an upset though, as Addicks only had four players.

Despite this the Addicks won the first set 4-1, with each player winning a frame.

Kevin Connor, Andrew Honeybourne and Daniel Smith continued the Addicks good fortune in the second set, to leave them needing only one frame in the third set for victory.

Rack Pack won the first two frames of the final set to make it 7-5 but Honeybourne won his third frame of the night to give the understrength Addicks an 8-5 win and a place in the next round.

Riding high at the top of the Premier Division are Hotshots and they were playing bottom of Division Two, Royal Oak B.

With 21 places between the sides, Hotshots class showed, with an 8-0 triumph.

It was an all Premier Division clash, as Glenmore Arms A took on O'Connors, with the away side winning by 8 frames to 3.

In the only other all Premiership tie it was a much closer affair between North Heath Social Club and Bellegrove.

The visitors took the first set, 4-1 but North Heath turned it round in the second, winning it 3-2, giving Bellegrove an overall 6-4 lead.

North Heath continued to battle hard and got to within a frame going in to the fourteenth frame but Bellegrove dashed their hopes and won the match by 8 frames to 6.

Bellegrove's second side, Bellegrove A faced Greyhound Elite, who started well by taking the first frame but Bellegrove battled back and took the first set, 3-2.

They never looked back after that, taking all five frames of the second, with Captain John Skuza winning the tenth frame to clinch the victory by 8 frames to 2.

Division One's Pickwick Academicals were looking to eradicate their erratic league form against Bellegrove's third side, Bellegrove Social Club from Division Two.

However Academicals never really got to grips with their opponents and despite battling hard, some naive shot selections looked like being their downfall.

Billy Levingbird's brilliant clearance was the only success and highlight of the first set and quite probably the match for Academicals.

Bellegrove gave their opponents hope by going down to four players in the second set but they didn't pick up on this, although Angie Hobbs was unlucky in frame nine.

Academicals fate was sealed in frame 11 with Bellegrove clinching an 8-3 victory to join the other two sides from the club in round two.

Both Falconwood teams have been doing well in the league so a close game was expected as they met in the cup, but that was not to be as Falconwood Club beat Falconwood Social by 8 frames to 2.
