Bromley took to the field in a stylish new kit sponsored by Bristol Street Motors and Wrightio and gave their main club sponsors something to smile about following a comprehensive win over old rivals Old Dunstonians.

Starting strongly, Bromley simply blew away their opposition in the opening exchanges.

Tries from Steve Pillow, Chris Copper and Dave Newing left Bromley 19-0 up after just ten minutes.

The breakdowns were hotly contested with Bromley dominating, though not always legally and David Banfield received a yellow card for use of the shoulder.

Old Dunstonians were unable to take advantage and Bromley continued to pile on the agony for them, Chris Copper grabbing his second try of the day.

The visitors enjoyed some possession for the last ten minutes or so of the first half and their fly-half was rewarded with a try which he converted himself.

That left the half-time score 24-7 to the home side.

Old Dunstonians really needed to score first in the second half if they were to stand any chance of staying in the game but it was Bromley who had the ideal start with an early try from Matthew Hart.

Two quick tries from Kieran Leeper put Bromley out of sight at 41-7.

Old Dunstonians responded with a couple of tries of their own, but this was tempered by their tight head prop receiving a red card for indiscipline.

It was shame that the game ended with further indiscipline with a player from each side receiving red cards.

With Old Dunstonians down to 13 men, another Bromley try seemed inevitable and it was Dave Newing who obliged.

That completed the scoring, leaving Bromley winners by 46-17 and second place in London 3 South East.
