The second week of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance winter season and both teams from the Falconwood Club have earned impressive victories to remain unbeaten and show their determination to challenge for top honours in their respective divisions.

After scoring twelve frames last week, Falconwood Social have opened up a seven point gap at the top of Division One, after going one better with a 13-2 win against Pickwick Academicals.

Academicals had a great result last week but most of the team weren't at the races this week, as Chris Bracey was the only player to earn a victory and he got both his team's frames.

There was a battle at Eltham Terrace, where Nuthouse took on Rack Pack and after both teams lost last week they were looking to pick up points.

Nuthouse took a 2-0 lead but Rack Pack fought back and won the next three frames to take the set, 3-2.

The second set swung one way then the other but the Nuthouse edged it to tie the match at five frames all.

The final set was also won by the odd frame, with Rack Pack nicking it to win the match by 8 frames to 7.

Despite the loss Nuthouse's Shane O'Reilly was the only player unbeaten, winning all three of his frames.

It was a strong team performance from Rack Pack, with Fred O'Connor, Tony Frost and Rob Young all winning two of their three frames.

Royal Oak Addicks returned to winning ways against Fox & Hounds but they didn't have it all their own way.

Fox took the first set, 3-2 but fell apart as Addicks won every frame from five to fourteen, before Fox won the last frame to make the final score, 11-4 in Addicks favour.

Despite the margin of victory there was only two unbeaten players, Ben O'Brien and Andrew Honeybourne, each winning two frames.

In the SLKPA Premier Division Falconwood Club became one of three unbeaten teams in the division, with a hard fought victory over the summer champions, Bellegrove.

It was a brilliant team effort, with Alex Lawrence gaining a hat-trick in his team's 8-7 triumph.

Falconwood are third in the table but Hotshots have hit the top spot with a huge 12-3 victory over Crayford Social Club Rugrats.

Danny Kelliher and Neil Hall both scored three out of three for the victors.

The other unbeaten team is Eltham Terrace Club A who were a little too strong for Pickwick.

The first two sets were close, with Eltham taking both by the odd frame, 3-2.

However the final set was a different story as Pickwick ran out of steam and Eltham eased their way to take the set 4-1 and the match by 10 frames to 5.

Dean James was the only winner for Pickwick in the last set to seal his own unbeaten hat-trick.

Eltham's Dave Rawlinson showed his class by winning three out of three for the second week running and this week he was joined by Ben McIntosh, who is also unbeaten for the season so far.

O'Connors recovered from their first week defeat to beat Glenmore Arms A, 11-4 to go fourth in the table.

After a winless summer season, Eltham Terrace Rovers have recorded their first win of this season with an 8-7 victory over North Heath Social Club.

Rovers won the first set, 3-2 but North Heath took their chances in the second and won the first four frames for a 6-3 lead.

Rovers were not going down without a fight though and rattled off the next four frames before Dave Selby won the penultimate frame to send the match into a final frame decider.

Playing a Captain's role was Darren Porter, winning the last frame and the match with his third frame win of the night to remain unbeaten.

Crayford Social Club 2 racked up their first win of the season in SLKPA Division Two, with a narrow 8-7 victory against Foots Cray Social club.

These two teams are second and third in the table but sitting on top is Bellegrove A, who beat newcomers Royal Oak B.

Bellegrove steamed into a 4-1 lead in the first set but all credit to Royal Oak, who took the second set by 3 frames to 2 despite having only four players.

Their luck ran out in the final set though, as Bellegrove took the last set, 3-2 for an overall 9-6 victory.

Stephen Craig, Keith Smith and Jon Syta all won both their frames.

In an unusual situation,Bellegrove Social Club have already won the unfinished match against Glenmore Arms 2, with an unassailable 8-5 lead, with two frames left to play on Monday evening.
