Bromley racer Jack McCarthy will spend three days with iconic Formula One team Ferrari after being invited to their Driver Academy in Italy.
Fresh from winning the national Super One and Euro Max Challenge Rotax championships, Jack, 15, will travel to the notorious academy in Maraneollo.
On October 19 the Ravens Wood pupil will join a select quartet of drivers to undergo three days of special training and assessment at Scuderia Ferrari’s HQ.
“I’m really exciting,” Jack said.

“Just to be invited as a guest and go to the factory is an honour but to also be able to drive a Ferrari-prepared racing car around the Fiorano circuit, in the wheeltracks of some of the true greats of F1, is a dream come true.
“I would like to thank Scuderia Ferrari and Banco Santander for this unique opportunity and I intend to fully repay their generosity and faith in me.”

Jack and his fellow drivers will be put through their paces in a number of physical, psychological and medical tests, before spending a full day at the team’s own test circuit.
This sixth annual Academy is the product of Banco Santander’s partnership with the most decorated team in Formula One history.
