SWIMMING: A Bromley swimmer secured five golds and a bronze medal at the learning disabilities British championships.

Emma Warrington became national champion in five distances, as well as setting a trio of personal best times and two new London regional records.

The 36-year-old is a member of Sharks Swimming Club, where she also teaches new members to swim and is training to become a coach.

Warrington swims five times a week and is no stranger to success having recently won a dozen trophies at the Sharks SC championships, as well as being the top female swimmer.

Next year she is hoping to attend the Para internationals in Glasgow to trial for selection for the Paralympic Games in Rio.

Before then she is aiming to swim more than 3,000m in an hour to raise money for the Demelza Children’s Hospice.

FOOTGOLF: Orpington's Lee Thraves was unfazed by Dan Spice's benchmark of 57 at last weekend’s Chelsfield Lakes tournament.

Thraves reproduced the form which brought him the High Elms Footgolf title a month ago to card a course record-equalling 55 and lift the Chelsfield Lakes crown.
