Bottom of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance Tier Two West, Greyhound pick up their second victory of the season against fourth placed, Glenmore Arms A but unfortunately it wasn't enough to lift them off the bottom.

It was a very close match, with Greyhound just edging it, 2-1 in sets and 8-7 in frames.

The whole team chipped in with victories as Sam Mossom and Billy Russell both won one of their two frames, Ed Green two of his three frames and Bill Mossom was unbeaten with two frame wins.

This defeat was a setback for Glenmore who were one of the pre season favourites for the title but are now seven points behind division leaders, Royal Oak Addicks.

Addicks grabbed their own narrow win, 2-1 and 8-7 over third placed Eltham Terrace Nuthouse to remain unbeaten for the season.

It was a fortunate start for Addicks, who won the first frame without playing a shot, as Shane O'Reilly cannoned his red and flicked in a red, the cue ball and the black, giving Kevin Connor the frame.

O'Reilly went on to win his other two frames to join Craig Jones and Aaron Shephard on two out of three wins, with Jones including a break and dish in his first frame.

Bellegrove A stay in second place, after a 2-1 and 9-6 triumph over Pickwick Academicals.

The first two sets went to Bellegrove, 3-2 and 4-1 then the final set went to two frames each before Academicals snatched the last frame and a valuable set.

Academicals Captain, Donna Levingbird is on a bit of a winning streak, with one victory from her two frames but Gary Mason went one better with an unbeaten brace.

There was a mouthwatering top of the table clash in SLKPA Tier Two East, where division leaders, Falconwood Club took on Plumstead Radical Club Rebels in second.

Rebels recovered from their poor finish last week to win the first set, 4-1 but Falconwood rallied round to win the next two sets,3-2.

So the league leaders won the match, 2-1 in sets but Rebels won 8 frames to Falconwood's 7 to share the points.

Rebel's Trevor Biggs played a captain's role, winning both his frames and Steve Dixon performed a break and dish in frame twelve to keep the match alive.

Fifth played sixth, as Bellegrove Social Club met Glenmore Arms 2 and it was the underdogs who prevailed by 2 sets to 1 and 10 frames to 5.

Glenmore Captain, Dan Brown led from the front, with an unbeaten performance and he was backed up by quality displays from the rest of his team.

North Heath Social Club leapfrogged their opponents, Royal Oak into third, after a 2-1 and 8-7 local derby win.

Royal Oak won the first set, 3-2 then went on to take the first frame of the second but North Heath won the next three, for the set and a 5-4 lead, before Oak equalised with the last frame of the set.

North Heath's Ryan Sullivan won his third frame of the night to give them the lead.

Ian Stringer and Dave Selby won the next two frames to give North Heath the win, before Oak captured the last two frames to make the score more respectable.

Eltham Terrace Rack Pack had their relegation from the SLKPA Elite League sealed this week, after they were beaten 3-0 and 9-6 by Bellegrove.

Rack Pack's Captain, Steve Unwin did his best to halt the slide by winning both his frames but it was to no avail.

Bellegrove are now just one point behind league leaders, Hotshots after they beat Pickwick by 2 sets to 1 and 10 frames to 5.

Dean James performed a break and dish to win the final set for Pickwick.

It was a solid performance from Hotshots, although only Danny Kelliher was unbeaten with a hat-trick.

Eltham Terrace Club A remain in third after beating Foots Cray Social Club Rugrats, 2-1 and 9-6.

Paul Shrimpton put Eltham 2-1 up with a break and dish but Alan Enever secured the set for Rugrats with a total clearance after a dry break.

The second set was just as close as the first but this time it went in Eltham's favour and they went on to win the final set by 4 frames to 1.

Eltham's Steve Pearce is absolutely unplayable at the moment, after winning another three frames this week to make it eleven wins out of the last twelve.

O'Connors pushed Eltham Terrace Rovers closer to relegation with a 3-0 and 12-3 victory over them.

They took the first two sets with ease, winning them 4-1 and 5-0 but it looked like Rovers were going to steal the final set, going 2-1 up with Ryan Francis down to his last colour but missed an easy shot and Adam Coppen cleared up before Adam Everitt won the final frame.

Coppen won both of his frames with Everitt all three of his and he was joined by Tony Gear, whose hat-trick included a break and dish.
