Royal Oak addickted to winning Week six of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance and Royal Oak Addicks are the surprise leaders of Tier Two West and are unbeaten for the season, winning five on the trot, after beating second placed Glenmore Arms A this week.

Addicks won the first two frames of the second set for a 6-1 lead but Glenmore took the last three frames to win the set.

Kevin Connor won his second frame of the night and Lee's brother Ben O'Brien won his only frame to put Addicks two up in the final set and give them the bonus point.

Glenmore won the next frame but Addicks took the fourteenth for the set and the match, before glenmore won the last frame to make the final score, 2-1 and 9-6 in Addicks favour.

Glenmore now drop to third as Bellegrove A narrowly beat Greyhound by 2 sets to 1 and 9 frames to 6.

There was another close match at Fox & Hounds, where they beat Pickwick Academicals, 2-1 and 8-7.

Each set was won by the same 3-2 score, with Academicals taking the first but Fox fought back to win the next two.

Ernest Chin won his only frame for Fox, as did Academicals Gary Mason but his team's newest recruit, Ben Walsh went one better, to win both his frames with fantastic finishes in both.

Academicals Captain, Donna Levingbird chalked up her first frame win of the season.

If the matches were close in Tier Two West they were exactly the opposite in SLKPA Tier Two East, with each game being won 3-0 and 12-3.

Falconwood Club open up a nine point lead atttt the top, after their best performance of the season to beat Bellegrove Social Club 3-0 and 12-3.

A missed black in the first set cost them the whitewash but they did go on to complete the whitewash in the second, for a 2-0 and 9-1 lead.

They were 2-0 up in the final set when another missed black cost them another frame but Paul Elford slid a nice eight ball along the cushion to pot it for maximum points.

Stacy Redman and Barry Barham were unbeaten on three out of three for the victors.

Plumstead Radical Club Rebels needed maximum points against Foots Cray Social Club Minions to retake second place and keep the pressure on Falconwood.

They started as if they hadn't had a week off, taking the first two sets, 4-1 and 5-0.

Minions managed to win two frames in the last set and force a final frame decider for the set, which Rebels Captain, Trevor Biggs held his nerve to win and give his team the 3-0 and 12-3 victory.

Unbeaten Rebels included Paul Rowlinson on two out of two and Steve Dixon with a hat-trick.

After their poor start to the season, Royal Oak have lifted themselves into third place after their 3-0 and 12-3 victory over Glenmore Arms 2.

Unlike the other two matches this one started closely, with Oak edging it, 3-2 but they turned on the style in the next two, winning them 5-0 and 4-1.

O'Connors drop to third in the SLKPA Elite League, after losing 2-1 and 8-7 to Pickwick.

Initially the match went to form with O'Connors taking the first set 3-2 but Pickwick fought hard and won the next two sets by the same score.

Joe Kane won all three of his frames for O'Connors with Pickwick's Ash Hall winning two out of two and Paul Gafa typically fudged his way to a hat-trick.

Hotshots regain second place with a 3-0 and 11-4 triumph against Eltham Terrace Club A.

They breezed through the first two sets, winning them 4-1 but the last set went to a final frame decider, which Danny Kelliher took out with a nice finish to give Hotshots maximum points.

Robbie Robb, Neil Hall, Steve Krishnan and Andre Cox were all unbeaten winning two frames each.

Still top of the tree are Bellegrove, who have a three point cushion after a 3-0 and 11-4 victory over Eltham Terrace Rovers.

Paul Cook, Clive Black and Kevin Smith all won both their frames but Craig Mallinder went one better with a hat-trick.

Geoff Evans was Rovers top performer, winning in the first two sets and only losing to the in-form Mallinder in the third.

Eltham Terrace Rack Pack looked like picking up their first win of the season as they took a 3-2 lead and the first set against Foots Cray Social Club Rugrats.

Rack Pack won the first two frames of the second set but Rugrats turned it round and won the next three to tie the match one all in sets and five all in frames.

The last set started just like the second, with Rack Pack winning the first two frames but Shane Burnett and Steve Gibson pulled it back to send the match in to a final frame decider.

The two Captains, Scott Shephard and Steve Unwin faced each other to decide the match, with Shephard winning his third of the night to give Rugrats the 2-1 and 8-7 victory.

The result was tough on Rack Pack who fought hard, none more than Tony Frost, who won all three of his frames.
