The top two in the South London & Kent PoolAlliance Elite League, Bellegrove and Hotshots met this week, with Bellegrove running out victorious by 2 sets to 1 and 11 frames to 4.

Neil Hall was unbeaten in winning half of Hotshots frames, with Bellegrove's Kevin Smith and George Covington also scoring two out of two but Craig Mallinder went one better by winning all three of his frames.

This result keeps Bellegrove top of the table but by only one point, whereas Hotshots drop to fourth, three points behind the leaders.

Taking over second place are O'Connors, who comprehensively beat bottom team, Elthaam Terrace Rack Pack, 3-0 and 13-2.

Also overtaking Hotshots are Eltham Terrace Club A, who had their own huge win, 3-0 and 12-3 against Pickwick.

By their own admission Pickwick were poor as Eltham took the first set, 5-0 but they battled back in the second, only losing by the odd frame, 3-2.

Eltham piled on the pressure again in the final set, winning it 4-1.

Ben McIntosh was unbeaten again on three out of three and he was joined by Dave Rawlinson, with Dan Foley also unbeaten on two frame wins.

Foots Cray Social Club Rugrats hosted Eltham Terrace Rovers in a bottom of the table battle and the points were shared, as Rugrats won 2-1 in sets but Rovers got more frames, 8-7.

Rovers feel they should have whitewashed the first set, as Ryan Francis looked set to break and dish but potted the black in the same shot as the last red and Lee Osborn missed an easy black, giving Rugrats the set, 3-2.

They didn't let that trouble them though, as they took the next set 4-1.

Rugrats took the first two frames of the last set but Rovers won the next two to take the match into a final frame decider, which Ian Cruwys clinched for the home side.

In such a tight match Rovers' Dean Rider was the only unbeaten player, winning all three of his frames.

The table reflects how closely matched the two sides are, as they are locked together on five points.

Falconwood Club extend their lead at the top of SLKPA Tier Two East to eight points, after beating Royal Oak in a match that didn't reflect the 3-0 and 12-3 score line.

Both teams played well but Falconwood had to rely on a missed red, with the scores tied at two each to steal the first set, 3-2.

Oak had chances to win the first two frames of the second but Falconwood were ruthless and whitewashed the set.

The final set continued in a similar fashion, with chances being missed by both sides but Falconwood prevailed, winning it 4-1.

Dayle Stork, Barry Barham and Kieran Evans all won three out of three, with Evans still unbeaten over the season.

North Heath Social Club picked up their first win of the season with a shock victory, 2-1 and 8-7 over Bellegrove Social Club, who are in second place.

Foots Cray Social Club Minions remain bottom after Glenmore Arms 2 beat them by 3 sets to 0 and 11 frames to 4.

The match was much closer than the score suggests, as Glenmore only won the first two sets by the odd frame, 3-2 but they turned onnn the style in the final set with a 5-0 victory.

There were fantastic three out of three performances from Glenmore's Justin Skinner and Lewis Hearn while Minions' twelve year old Brayden Shephard won his first ever frame in the SLKPA.

Royal Oak Addicks are the surprise leaders in SLKPA Tier Two West after a 2-1 and 9-6 victory over Bellegrove A and are now the only unbeaten team left in the division.

Addicks won the first set 3-2 and the second 4-1 but let Bellegrove back in, in the third, with the away team taking it 3-2 to stay within a point of their opponents in the table.

Eltham Terrace Nuthouse send Fox and Hounds to the bottom of the table with a 2-1 and 9-6 win over them.

The damage was done in the first set, with Nuthouse taking it by 4 frames to 1 but Fox pulled it back in the second, winning it 3-2 before Nuthouse won the last by the same score.

Neil Shelton won both his frames for Fox but Shane O'Reilly went one better with a hat-trick for Nuthouse.

Pickwick Academicals won their first game of the season with a fantastic victory over Glenmore Arms A.

It was a very close match with each set being wwon by the same 3-2 score line.

Academicals won the firssst two sets and Glenmore the final set.

Alan Rothwell won his only frame for Glenmore and David Holpin was also unbeaten, winning both his frames.

It was a great team performance from Academicals but only Gary Mason and Dean Williams were unbeaten, each winning two frames.
