May 7 was not only the general election day but also the start of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance summer season and Bellegrove have elected themselves the early leaders of the Elite League, with an overwhelming majority win over O'Connors.

The winter season champions, O'Connors were dealt a bitter blow, as The Founders Cup winners Bellegrove won the match 3-0 in sets and by a huge 12 frames to 3.

Winter Singles Champion, Craig Mallinder continued his great form, winning all three of his frames, while Paul Cook, on his debut and Paul Williams both scored two out of two.

Bellegrove were the only team in the division not to drop a set but Pickwick sneak into second place with a 2-1 and 10-5 victory over Eltham Terrace Rack Pack.

Rack Pack's Tony Frost and Simon Evans came out with some credit, each scoring two out of three.

Eltham Terrace had to win the next match as Eltham Terrace Club A hosted newly promoted Eltham Terrace Rovers.

Rovers put up a good fight but the home side picked up a 2-1 and 9-6 win.

Both Shane Hutley and Dan Foley finished unbeaten on three and two frame wins respectively but Ryan Francis was on fire for Rovers with a break and dish in both his frame wins.

Winning by the same 2-1 and 9-6 score line was Hotshots against Foots Cray Social Club Rugrats.

Rugrats Captain, Scott Shephard won both his frames and he was joined by Neil Hall and Ben Creffield on his debut.

Foots Cray's newly formed team, Minions had a baptism of fire in their first ever SLKPA game against Falconwood Club in Tier Two East.

It was a landslide victory, as Falconwood won the first set 4-1 then whitewashed the final two sets 5-0, to make the final score 3-0 and 14-1.

It was a wonderful team performance with Barry Barham, Paul Elford, Stacy Redman and Dayle Stork all winning three frames each.

Luke Matthews won his team's only frame in his first ever SLKPA frame.

Both relegated sides have ended up in Tier Two East and neither have started well.

New recruits, Elliot Giles and Steve Dixon were the inspiration behind the victory, both finishing unbeaten.

Glenmore Arms 2 pulled off a shock win against the other relegated side, North Heath Social Club.

It was a really close match, with each set being won 3-2, Glenmore took the first and North Heath equalised before Glenmore won the final set to make the final score, 2-1 and 8-7.

Eltham Terrace Nuthouse didn't do their chances any good by only having four players and Bellegrove A took full advantage to win the match 3-0 and 10-5.

Bellegrove did most of the damage in the first set taking it 4-1 and they went on to take the next two sets 3-2.

Dave Graham and Stephen Craig won three out of three for Bellegrove while Nuthouse's Craig Jones also scored a hat trick, with Shane O'Reilly securing their other two frames.
