Max Anstie and Shaun Simpson were both virtually unchallenged in their respective three motos each at the News Shopper supported British Motocross championship at Canada Heights on Sunday.

While Anstie (Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki) missed the opening round in mid-March due to injury, he is now just 16 points behind new series leader Steven Lenoir (Dyer and Butler KTM).

The red plate holder going into the event Ben Watson (Hitachi Construction Machinery Revo KTM UK) had a torrid day, salvaging just 20 points from a possible 75.

Simpson maintained his 100 percent MX1 win record as the series takes a five-week break before the action resumes at Hawkstone Park next month.

In the MX2 class, Lenoir was delighted to be taking the red plate to round four after pumping out 3-2-3 finishes.

News Shopper:

Harri Kullas (Heads and All Threads Suzuki) found the form and better starts of which he is capable of.

His 2-4-6 finishes put him on the lower step of the podium at the end of the day.

Simpson’s maximum means he is now 40 points clear of his nearest rival Tanel Leok (LPE Racing Kawasaki), who admitted to not being able to push at the sandy Kent circuit due to feeling unwell.

Fellow countryman Gert Krestinov (Buildbase Honda Racing Team) took his first podium of the current campaign with 3-2-4 finishes compared to the 2-4-2 of Leok.

News Shopper:

Krestinov now takes over third in the series edging his team-mate Kristian Whatley down to fourth, who posted 7-5-3 finishes.

The event also incorporated the second round of the MXY2 championship.

Jay Hague (Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki) took the top step of the podium and the red plate as series leader.

David Keet (Danger UK Husqvarna) posted 6-2-6 results to edge Oliver Osmaston (MXW Racing Chichester Honda) into third.

Osmaston had a no score second moto, but two race wins.

The newly-designed Canada Heights circuit went down well with the biggest gathering of spectators of the season and was attended by the mayor of Dartford and the chairman of Sevenoaks Council, who presented the winners with their trophies.
