A busy schedule for Sidcup boxer Danny Carr was rewarded with double success at the ABA elite championships.
The 25-year-old fought four times in just seven days to become the south-east London and then the London-wide champion in the lightweight division (60kg).
Despite almost two years out of the sport, the Fisher ABC member defeated Fitzroy Lodge captain Charlie Harrison by an Impressive knockout in round three before getting a unanimous decision against Jacob Throne (Body Shots ABC) to seal the south-east London crown.
Carr went on to beat Mason Smith (Finchley ABC) in the semi-final by a split decision and was crowned London champion on the Sunday after beating Bezzina in a high-paced bout.
The Sidcup man said: “I am absolutely buzzing at the moment and cant wait to box in the national pre-quarters on the April 11.
“I’d like to say massive thank you to all the Fisher ABC coaches for all the time they put into us boxers.”
